We Are the Same

Because of the recent events I thought this should be the next painting to add to the store. No matter what color of hair, or skin, or religion or sexual orientation we are all made the same. This can be purchased Here in three different sizes.

In The Pines

The most recent addition to the store. This painting has become a huge favorite. From the quote-Take Our Hearts for a Walk in the Woods and Listen to the Magic Whispers of Old Trees. To the green trees, the moose, red fox and pine martin. Now available for purchase in two sizes.

Summer Garden

Summer Garden is the most recent print to be added to the store. The original is a mixed media painting with a dragonfly with paper wings and a paper grasshopper with some painted features. Colorful flowers with floating dandelion puffs and a quote from Heinrich Heine, a German author, composer. “She dances here, She dances there. The glimmering, glittering flutterer fair.” This would be a perfect picture for a child’s room, someone who is taking dance possibly. It can be purchased in three different sizes. The link to this picture is here.

FALL!

Last night we had the first freeze. Last week we had 90 degrees, then it drops to 40, now we hit the freeze mark. I just love this weather!! The sun in the blue skies, The cool breeze, but we did turn on the heat for just a bit to take the chill off. Saturday I set up at A Renaissance at Roanoke Art Fair. I have to say the morning was crispy and my fingers were tingling. It was my last outdoor show of the year. Lots of good artist, good customers. The sun came out and the weather behaved. If you want to know where I will be next be sure to check my front page. I have the list there. On to my pictures, I went outside this crispy morning and snapped some pictures. One of my three catnip plants. It is on the porch so we will see if it lasts. The cats loved having some fresh catnip last night. They were all loopy, some more than others.

On the porch again. Still loving my succulents, that are just growing and growing. I don’t want to bring them in because they love that porch. But the time will come.

Our new white mums that turn a pinky shade when they start to fade. I like a little bit of white, it adds a stunning element to the landscaping.

Had some rain yesterday morning, this morning is frozen water. I put this birdbath in this spot because it is outside of my studio. Not one bird landed in it, darn it! I thought at least the hummingbirds would stop and take a drink, they are always at the catmint.

When it warms up to 55 today I wonder if the balloon flower will look as good since it was out in the garden.

Stunning raspberry colored mums.

I liked the colors of the bush changing with the sunlight. Some of my favorite colors.

I picked up three little pumpkins, a subtle yet elegant fall touch. Plus, I didn’t want to haul around big pumpkins. I stepped away from my part time job to totally focus on my art business so I listen to the television more. They spend so much on campaign commercials! My son Kevin says why don’t they tell us why we should vote for them instead of why we shouldn’t vote for the other guy. I think that makes such good sense, yeah, why don’t they? I am very excited about going to a play tonight with my friend Theresa. We are going to see The Choir of Man at the Beautiful Embassy Theater. Get a little dinner before, and it should be a great evening.

Lastly, I wrote about Barney yesterday and I am happy to say he is now up in my store. He can be purchased in three different sizes. He is a handsome owl and would look great in an owl lovers favorite spot. I also think it would look nice in an office because it has a distinguished look.

Three more prints added to the store..

This painting was finished a year ago right before I had a show in Louisville. It has the best quote from Laura Ingalls Wilder…Home is the nicest word there is. So the title of this painting is Home. Take a closer look here.

Much going on in this painting, a hidden cat, hanging pots, floor pots, a bird and a praying mantis, blue, red and yellow flowers. Lots of texture. Take a look here.

Just in time for your fall decorating, a sweet fall garden. Orange and white pumpkins, a green gourd, sunflowers, zinnias, mums. It can be found here.
