Made this new recipe today. I found it in my Taste of Home crockpot cookbook but I made it in the oven instead. Here is the recipe: 3 pound boneless pork loin roast, 1 medium onion sliced, 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, 3 cups of root beer divided, 12 ounces chili sauce, 1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce, I used whole wheat rolls made at Kroger. Oven 375, put roast in dutch oven, add the onion, garlic and one cup of root beer. Bake for two hours until done. Take out of the oven and let cool. In a small saucepan combine the chili sauce, two cups of the root beer and the hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes or until thickened. In the dutch oven discard the cooking juices, shred the pork and put back into the pan, add the barbecue sauce. Cook for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serve on the buns. Interesting ingredients and easy peasy! Enjoy!
